Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization Projects Overview
Saifrood Unity and Aid Organization (SUAO) has implemented a wide range of impactful projects from 2014 to 2024, focusing on humanitarian assistance, community development, and resilience-building initiatives. Through strategic partnerships with international donors and local stakeholders, SUAO has contributed significantly to improving livelihoods, promoting education, supporting healthcare, and providing disaster relief across Afghanistan.

Flood Relief and Cash Assistance in Ghor Province (Funded by CISU)
In response to severe flooding in Ghor province, SAO provided emergency cash assistance to 200 vulnerable households. The project aimed to help families meet their urgent needs, including purchasing food, water, and essential supplies. This initiative played a crucial role in preventing further hardship for the affected communities.
Staff Capacity Building and Environmental Initiatives in Firozkoh (Supported by Afghanaid)
SUAO, in collaboration with Afghanaid, launched a capacity-building program for staff and promoted environmental sustainability initiatives in Firozkoh. The program included workshops on project management, community engagement, and sustainable agricultural practices, enhancing the organization’s ability to implement future projects effectively.
Distribution of Greenhouses and Livestock Stable Renovation (UNDP-Afghanistan)
To support rural livelihoods and food security, SAO distributed 300 greenhouses and renovated livestock stables for 300 households. This project, funded by UNDP-Afghanistan, enabled families to grow their own vegetables and improve livestock care, contributing to increased income and food security.
Health and Education Support for 5,000 Individuals (In Partnership with Globuspuljen)
Partnering with Globuspuljen, SAO supported health and education initiatives for 5,000 individuals in Ghor and Badghis provinces. Activities included establishing temporary health clinics, distributing educational materials to schools, and organizing health awareness campaigns to promote hygiene and disease prevention.
Educational and Medical Resource Supply for 100,000 Patients (Through Genbrug til Syd)
In collaboration with Genbrug til Syd, SAO supplied essential educational and medical resources to serve 100,000 patients across healthcare centers. Medical supplies included diagnostic equipment, medicines, and hospital furniture, while educational resources provided critical support to local schools.
Assistance to Internally Displaced Households (Funded by CISU & DERF in 2022)
Responding to the displacement crisis, SAO delivered urgent assistance to 200 internally displaced households. This project, co-funded by CISU and DERF, included distributing food parcels, hygiene kits, and blankets to families forced to flee their homes.
Media Project for Public Awareness (Funded by USAID, 2014-2015)
With funding from USAID, SAO implemented a media project from 2014 to 2015, reaching over 2,000,000 viewers nationwide. The project focused on promoting public awareness about social issues such as health, education, and women’s rights through radio and television broadcasts.
Youth Empowerment through Sports and Herat Earthquake Relief
SAO launched youth empowerment programs that included sports tournaments, workshops, and leadership training, fostering a sense of community and teamwork among young people. Additionally, following the Herat earthquake, SAO provided urgent aid, including food and shelter, to 300 affected families.
